    Position Reader and recorder

I tried hack WOW before but ended up using others bots, and I am 100% sure now my WOW hacking ends here. I was very excited when I saw the offsets in the offsets section, but after a full day of work this is all I got.

A utility to show and record your toon's position.

After you login to WOW, you can start PosReader.exe and click on "Start" button. Your position will shown in the text box. And if you click "Log to File" button, the position will be logged into path.log file.

    Author: dtk
Credits goes to the folks who found the offsets: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/bots-programs/63165-wow-current-statics-offsets.html
    download location: http://www.geocities.com/dtk200/PosReader.zip
    Program screen shoot:

And to flying piggy, I still got 5 rep points before you soft deleted my last post on the zolo fish bot :-) Let's hope this one gives more.

is there a non-gui version by any chance?
its something i'd like to integrate into my live status signature image, but i'd need a console app for that

    Re: Position Reader and recorder

Phil, no it is not from somewhiteguy's website! I just wrote it myself! And you need to have .net framework 1.1 to run it. Are you just kidding or are you serious?

    Stew, if I make a console version, will you give me +rep? From piggy's post +reps are free ^^;

    Re: Position Reader and recorder

You read only 4 bytes and then convert it to float
use 8 bytes and you get the full coordinates.

    Re: Position Reader and recorder

I am starting another project that will do something cool with this pos reader. The release timeline will depend on my arena/battleground and raid schedules. Wait and see.

ANN: giving up the new bot now. Sometimes nothing gets read out from the offsets, not sure why.

Im fairly sure you have to use statics with .NET, but Im gonna whine to ttommeke to give me some insight on doing what he does but for .NET

Anywho, not bad Dissassembled and safe, GUI could use some work (I consider myself to be the GUI mastah *snicker*) cool stuff, keep it up, maby you can make something quite viable with your now basic knowledge of memory reading.

My +rep to you, and here, check out this guide to help you along:
