just a quick question did you guys get an unexpected warden error #78 today. does this mean i gotta wait till a new warden patch comes out ?

It's a known issue, as Warden seems to have been updated.

It's safest to wait for Lax (the creater) to update ISXWarden before trying to use OB again.

according to isxwarden forums, these fixes will be released 1hour-1week of such warden updates happen, depending if lax has the time to do it right away. Am also waiting for it, rogue is now lvl 20, no warnings, no reports, nothing.

Scan.dll got an update earlier today. This is why ISXWarden is throwing those lovely #78's, and gliders are getting those silly messages.

For any of you people who think Scan.dll is the warden dll, forget about it right now.

There are ways around the #78 error, but I will not explain them. Best off to wait for an update from Lax. (Within the next 3 days most likely. He's out of town at the moment)

Till then, keep your panties on and wait.

So, heres my a little review after my first days botting:

- No Warnings, No Bans
- Got only 3 whispers (lvl 1-24 currently) and they were all about helping to found a guild, so not even one whisper to "test" if i was real, even though i grinded in heavily crowded zones (FULL server -> westfall and so on)
- No GM whispers

Up to now, i'm very impressed of how OpenBot handles your Char, it's looking like a human is playing the char (only if bot gets stucked, that looks obvious, though ^^) to people not knowing that u actually bot.

But i also found some downsides:

The mapping procedure is quite time-robbing. You really have to have some concept while mapping a path and creating different hotspots. Currently my bot often sucks, when char dies and it has to walk to the corpse. Even though i had a full single route from GY to my "hotspot-mapping-circle", the bot often mentiont the error "not enough mapping data". so i had to manually move my char some yards otwards the corps, until bot recognize the path and walk it on its own again. No idea how to fix this GY things.

Also i found some flaws in the handling of inventory stuff. In the Items list u cannot specify what items to keep (the buttons to do it exist, but nothing happens). So the bot sells all white stuff, even your food/drinking/ores/cloth etc. If some1 knows how to fix that, please tell^^.

Automuling, Autorepair works flawless up to now (as long as u have proper mapping data to them). Didnt tested automatic flying between different zones, need to test that, too. But first i want to fix that stupid GY->corpse issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's called Innerspace. OpenBot is just a Script for the Innerspace Enviroment.

The GY issue can be solved by mapping a bit more. This happens when OB can't connect two regions of map data. (Usually due to being steep, obstructed, or just not being able to connect) Try running around a bit more where the map issue happens. It will go away. (OB doesn't always see a 2 way connection when mapping)

As for the keep list bit, turn your AutoSell to disabled, AutoDestroy as well, then remove the items from whichever list, and add them to the desired list. Then turn the AutoSell/Destroy back on. Should be fine after that. This is a known bug, and should be fixed in the next release.

Mapping does not take too long. I usually spend 5-10 minutes mapping areas. (Mapped all of southshore in about 15 minutes. Should explain how quick I do it)

Just run and drop your hotspots decently far apart. Make a quick run to/from the GY and a repair merchant. And any other POI's you want. And let the bot go by itself. It will build the map for you as it goes. OB is very good at avoiding obstacles. Unless you plan to bot somewhere with alot of crevices or wonky obstacles. (Random carts, trees, mushrooms in zangar, etc) If that's the case, make sure you map the area very well before hand, and turn mapping off. That will prevent it from trying to take a path where it gets stuck.

Thanks Apoc, will try it tonight. Also the workaround for the Items is a nice info to have.

And yeah, i think after u mapped some areas u get used to it and map alot faster. Have to practice more then. ^^

Okay, i intensed my usage of this bot. Just bought another copy of WoW+TBC and transferred my lvl70 rogue alt to this new account to the same server of my main, to let it farm gold for me.

I set it up yesterday evening and let it farm legion hold in shadowmoon valley for rep items and stuff. It's running for about 13 hours now (with downtime of EU servers). Flawless. Not one whisper or anything. On a 2nd Window my other alt was up and is currently grinding in Arathi Highlands (lvl 33). Also, no warnings, GM whispers or anything. Let's see how far this gets. With Glider last year, my alt was banned at lvl 46 already. Really hope OpenBot is stable and secure enough to provide long time botting possibilities.

Okay, just saw strange things bot is doing currently. I still have my lvl70 rogue toon farming illidari point in shadowmoon valley. Up to now it never had problems walking from wildhammer stronghold to hotspots.

But today it just ran weird circles at any point on the way to legion hold (had to move him there manually, so that he begin farming again). anyone any idea what might cause that? log is always telling sth. like Stuck: recalculating path...

it worked yesterday, perfectly.
