Re: Guide : WoW Servers and You, What and what is not possible.

Today i was on a private server, and i noticed something rather weird. Infact extremely weird, there was this paladin standing in the entrance of serpentshrine, changing shields and weapons... and his stats (+stamina +attack) kept stacking. In the end he had like 150000 life and who knows how much attack power.

Now, he told me it was a server problem.. he was exploiting, but it seemed rather "well-timed" for me. Then i saw other of his friends doing the same.

    Is this a possible hack?

No, this is a server exploit which will not work on live.

From your explanation, the server was only adding stats from equipped items, and not taking away stats when they we un-equipped.

    Sorry.

Alright, now being a noob and all, I dont exactly understand everything your saying. Well, it seems pretty obvious that its impossible to change your stats, however on Emu Hacker it has a choice which allows you to turn off your falling damage... it is bannable on live servers, but obviously not server side. This, thus, must mean that falling damage is handled on your computer, as opposed to on the server. Probably the reason for this is that, since actual creatures/players are handled on the server, that land/water/buildings are not. (Now you probably knew this, if you do any model hacks). Now, unless im getting ahead of myself, is it possible, since some damage is handled on your side of the server, to make it so all damage is handled there... as in without having to dip into the server side? Food for thought....

That no fall damage hack is a memory edit to fool the game.

Damage is calculated server side. But I won't try explaining how the memory edit works.

It is not client side, it is indeed server side. The thing to do though is to trick it. Same thing with slowfall hacks, which are not bannable.
