I wish this thread was the first result on Google for any WoW hack/cheat queries.

I still got a goofy question. Sort of a question.. I was messing with cheat engine a bit, trying to replace my swords with Hope Enders, lol. I actually got the icon to show them by adding switching my items values, but my character was still holding the old ones. wowhead shows the item values in their URL. 30733 Is the Hope Ender. Of course I didn't get any farther than that. So, when you kill Kazzak and get the Hope Ender, well, you get the weapon. I'm just wondering if there might be a way to trick the server side to think you killed something, therefore allowing you to actually obtain that weapon, or whatever item you want. I guess I don't understand it all quite enough, so this might all sound stupid. I play on a small private server, so I'm not too worried about experimenting. I also wonder if there are some other client side exploits/cheats that can give you some type of advantage, but nobody has thought of yet. Just some thoughts.

When info is sent from [CLIENT] -> [SERVER] you can pause the information sent, alter it, then send it off. You can do things like infinite buffs, etc but its quite detectable and not advisable to do so.

Infinite buffs are NOT possible. Buffs are SERVER SIDE.

You can although limit your bandwidth so CLIENT side buffs (ie: Movement buffs because ALL movement for YOUR character is client side) will last for minutes instead of seconds. (You don't RECEIVE information by doing this.

Works very well with sprint and any run buffs, especially the ones in WSG tunnels

You can also limit your bandwidth so you don't send client information out, I LOVE doing this. Fools people and you can easily "Teleport" around.

For instance, Say your in WSG at Alliance Graveyard. You limit you client information, Run to the horde flag then unlimit your client information. This will flood the server with ALL your movements up to your current position. Thus in the matter of under a second (Depending how long you limited your info.) your character will move server side.

Fun stuff. But anyways I again started typing and kept typing.. My point to this post is Infinite buffs are NOT possible. Buffs are SERVER SIDE.
