Warden could easily be as aggressive as its PC counterpart (In its current form). Afaik nothing is stopping WoW from looking at its own address space.

It has nothing to do with what Blizz WANTS Warden to do on the Mac... it is OS X that prevents Warden from working... this is a direct quote from wikipedia:

World of Warcraft can be played on both Macintosh and Windows systems, but only the Windows version has Warden. The Macintosh doesn't have Warden due to the way Apple designed their Mac OS X operating system with other applications accessing another application's memory (it requires administrative rights).

So it's as simple as playing WoW from a non-admin account on your mac. Warden won't have permission to view another application's memory.

I don't know of anything that will sim OS X, but there are several hacks out there that will allow you to run it on your desktop if you have the correct hardware. Basically, when Apple made their machines, they coded the OS with predefined drivers for certain hardware (ex. Corssair memory)... so almost all Corssair memory will work on OS X. Try googling osx86 and see if you can't find the information you are looking for.

For those in the market for a new PC, I would suggest looking into Psystar. They sell machines that come with OS X preinstalled for a FRACTION of what you would pay to get an equivalent Mac. I am NOT saying "gwaa... runz-and-buyz-them"... I have a MacBook Pro... I am saying "look into Psystar as an option".

You are a very uninformed individual. That Wikipedia article is highly inaccurate.

Guest mode does nothing to Warden; likewise, OSX does nothing to Warden. Warden does not search outside of WoW for offending applications.

OSX runs x86 assembly, yes?
Warden is x86 assembly.

OSX can execute allocated memory, yes?
Then you can allocate and execute Warden.

There is zero reason to suggest there is no Warden client for OSX.

why does everyone think pocketgnome is a mac bot only... i run it on my pc desktop under windows xp pro sp3 and it runs smoothly without no problems.. the only problem i can think of it does not have a default fightbook and i h8 making and running macro´´s... and the main admin has gone AWOL and the main english forums are down.

did you ever use that bot? it IS an mac only bot, if you run it under windows xp, then you are using a virtual machine with mac osx and then you are not runing windows xp, right? so it IS an mac osx only bot.

and, btw. the english forums are not down, i've been member there since the end of the beta and it is and never was down.

and about using macros? it seems that you don't really know how to set up a behaviour. of cause you can use macros, but why should somebody want to do it, since you can make awesome things with the behaviour editor, much more then you could ever do with macros...

I love this Bot!! I got lucky enough to be able to "Borrow" my friend's Macbook for a few days, and left this running on the server i play on, got from level 1 - 44 within 4 days on blizz-like exp! The only maintenance i had to do was hearth to city to train, and edit a few of the rules. Feral Kitties FTW!

Anyway, a bit off-topic, Does anyone know of a bot that uses the same kind of tactic for using spells? (Using them directly from the spellbook, and not the Actionbars...) Or would anyone know how to do this in C#?

Thankz for reviving this awesome bot, and thanks in advance for the help on a pc bot, or how one would do the casting thing.

on the site, it says that pocketgnome would never be available on Windows, but don't you think with a month or two worth of trial and error, and rewriting, that it could be ported to Windows via a cross compiler? eg. Cocotron? it may not run as fast or effieciently as it would natively, but it might work. Especially with some minor ( or major depending on how it was written..) rewrites.

Yeah, it was more of a hopeful hint to someone with enough experience to do this. Ah well, looks like i'm finally buying myself a psystar open, or im just going to have to deal with setting up actionbars...
