Hows it goin guys, i just figured all this stuff out and thought about sharing it with you 360 owners, this walkthru is made by me, jimmbo506 of mmowned.
if this is already posted on the forums, i give you permission to punch me :P lol.
Ok well first off, you need to download the 360 controller driver at,
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/download.mspx
http://img186.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7171725mh2.jpg
Then download the WoW program used for controlling the controller, due to the fact that WoW doesnt support game controllers, THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT GET YOU BANNED FOR HAVING IT RUNNING, i asked a GM, SS's
http://img295.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7852328gb4.jpg
http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?i...1074072je9.jpg
http://img300.imageshack.us/my.php?i...3835195ou4.jpg
http://img214.imageshack.us/my.php?i...0068451fy5.jpg
Ok, with that being said, Download the program from here :
http://www.davidnikdel.com/files/WoW360Mod_1_0.zip
http://img522.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7172429ew2.jpg
Unzip the program to your desktop, or where ever youd like it at, there are 2 folders in the file once unzipped, the WoW inferface is an wow addon for 1.12.0 and UNDER , but is not needed to play the game. Run the setup file,
http://img149.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7172625dx9.jpg
It should then launch the program used to control the controller, If the program does not launch, then just launch it from the place you saved it at, it should look like this before you open your WoW.exe :
http://img90.imageshack.us/my.php?im...7172802pg7.jpg
Once open launch WoW.exe
http://img90.imageshack.us/my.php?im...7172943wj0.jpg
After the WoW.exe is opened at you are at the logon screen, if you look at the program it should now say, Router Paused, Router Unpaused, or WoW window found as in this SS.
http://img227.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7173127io7.jpg
Log into the game and enter the world, once your in the game having the program running and your controller plugged in with the driver, press the Start button on the controller, once pressed your mouse will dissapear and control of the game is at your controller, If you wish to change setting on the controller go back to the program,WoW-360 Router (the program running in the background) and go to the file tab then go to prefrences,
http://img501.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7173525cm8.jpg
Then enter the prefrences and change things around to the way you would like as so,
http://img501.imageshack.us/my.php?i...7173623jz2.jpg
Note as the START button on the controller, turns the controllers ability to be used on and off, its like a switch for on an off, Once you are ingame press the START button on the contoller to turn it on, notice that when your mouse dissapears that your XBOX controller is in control. Once you get used to this, its fairly cool, not for pvping as such but for looking for herbs, ores, and traveling around its all cool. Here is a picture of the key mappings.

As for playing and looting, if you used the settings i used, hold the "RB" button (the top left button on the right top of the controller) and your mouse appears, hold the RB button and move the mouse with the LEFT analog, or D pad if you do not have the setting for left analog stick emulates D pad, Clicking the right analog stick acts as a right click, and clicking the left analog stick acts as a left click, the buttons, X,Y,B,and A are used for action bars, LB is used for tab target (find the closest enemy) the RT button is for attack stance (like right clicking on an enemy) and the BACK button deselects a target, if your having a problem finding a button on the controller such as RB, RT, or LB, the buttons on your controller are labeled with these keys. As i posted before, i asked a GM and he said that blizzard does allow this program to be used and run in the background.
As for the ending of my guide, i would just like to note, that I do not take responsibility for MAKING this program, only making a guide of how to use it with 2.1.0 + versions of wow. The original maker of this program is David Nikdel, his site for this program is, http://www.davidnikdel.com/Project_WoW360_Static.htm
Ok guys, on his website he put up a UI mod for making combos for the controller. I have altered the mod and now i have made it so it IS 2.1.0 compatable, im not quite sure how the mod works, but im sure you can find out on the devs website. Im limited on time atm so i will try to figure the mod out a bit more later on for now, here is the working 2.1.0 addon for the WoW360 controller

Leave a msg if anyone needs help with this, i can try to answer your questions ^_^
PS This program HAS to have .Net Framework v2.0 to work correctly
extra info:
“Recently, players expressed some concern over the use of programmable gaming peripherals while playing World of Warcraft. We want to make sure it’s clear that creating hotkeys for certain actions in the game is ok. However, if these peripherals are used to automate gameplay to the point where the player is able to conduct repeated actions in the game without paying attention, then that will constitute a violation of our game policies. The use of sustained automated play grants an unfair advantage over players who earn their achievements by actively playing through the game as it was designed. In the interest of maintaining an even playing field for all players, we will investigate reports of automated play and take action as needed to prevent this from occurring in the game.” - Aeus (World of Warcraft Community Manager)
Moreover, this program does NOT perform any of the following actions:^_^ if any more info is needed post for help here or try looking around the developer of the programs website,
- It does not generate any keyboard or mouse input which was not initiated by the user. I.e. all keypresses correspond to button action, and all mouse movement corresponds to stick movement.
- It does not intercept or in any way modify communication beteween the game client and the game server. This is specifically prohibited in the EULA and WoW360 Router does nothing of the sort.
- It does not generate any messages which could not have been otherwise sent using the standard peripherals (keyboard and mouse).

PS: You know what i was thinking? XBOX 360 controllers have a mic jack, if that mic works on your computer when the controller is plugged in, due to the lack of actionbar capabilitys. why not use that mic and the controller and use the WoW voice game play thing thats stickied at the top? that would be friggin awsome
EDIT: Added praragraph:
