I got a copy of Keyclone off torrent, simply to test it out... as the guy who makes it offer no trial. Bad move, imo. :/

Anyway, after testing it for a couple of hours, i decided Octopus worked better for me also. Also if i ever considered taking up multiboxing properly (was testing the idea via trial account at the time), it would be cheaper... and testing this out legitamitely would have cost me what, $20 x 4 just to test a 4-5 box party?

I think if he had a trial out he'd find himself with more customers, had i not found a cracked version i wouldn't have bothered testing it at all, i won't pay for something like that to see if it fits my needs. But i'd surely buy it if the trial had proven it was what i wanted.

    Anyway, late night rambles.

i'm all for supporting developers but whenever i see "legal action" bolded I just laugh. it's the internet, seriously. you sound like the RIAA, and we all know that shit doesn't work.

and this isn't a crack site.

You don't have to pay for multiple copies by the way. One registration does the trick. Although I can't disagree with you about the trial period, it would be a good idea

Trial period would be a nice thing indeed.

I don't really recommend people trying the torrents out there though. They're buggy as hell.

I find it hard to beleive that you (Mudfish) are just some random MMOWNED user sticking up for keyclone. Personally I don't beleive that making copies of a peice of software is stealing it, its copying it. If I copied some information from wikipedia I wouldn't be stealing it id be copying it, when I download pirated software/movies/music im making a copy of the data. I strongly recommend to the people of the internet that they download as much data as they like, as this is why they pay for the internet. I can see why software developers would be pissed, but whenever I code software I release it as freeware and I get the satisfaction not out of the money I earn (i collect donations) but out of the number of downloads I see on my website.

I hope you realise that you sound incredibly self righteous when telling people what they should or should not be doing, especially on website like this which is pretty shady imo. I will be definately ignoring what you have to say and I encourage others to do so. Sharing information has been done since the beginning of man kind and hopefuly will continue until the end of time.

I fully agree. I'm all for cracks and stuff, but I'm talking photoshop cracks, cracks from companys that make good money but still can't get security for their products. They deserve it.

    However,
I bought keyclone. I want my updates.

    Keep wares/cracks off MMOwned.
    go to voide.org for that.

I can understand your point Mudfish and I definatly agree it's worth the 20 bucks, just a question: Do you download music or video's? Because that's basically the same concept?

I don't download them, and if I did it wouldn't be the same concept. Actors get paid millions of dollars to say a few lines and act like they are someone else while teachers who educate kids who have the responsibility to keep the world going after we pass on, get paid just enough to get by.

I could give a shit if tom cruise looses $20 because I watched a movie of his for free. I'm not taking from his pockets, I'm stopping money from going in that he doesn't deserve. He is supported along with all of his kids, kids, kids for playing the role of a person that doesn't exist. Corporate genres like the entertainment industry are not going anywhere. Whereas you have a programmer who has developed the first/commonly preferred piece of software to support a small community of people wanting to change the way we play games, and they get stolen from.

Say I am hypocritical all you want. You don't have to agree with me, just giving out a tip for next time someone decides to break MMOwned's rules and post a crack for Keyclone.

Maybe your not aware of this but Solid ICE is a multi million dollar company. Robert McInnis his son bought a house in 2006 and paid 1.3 million dollars for it. So dont tell me that these people are poor and trying to earn a buck. His dad was a millionaire back when a million bucks was still considered a lot of money.
