World of Warcraft Model Edit Fix by Kynox

Hi
I really love that easy model changing tools and i thank all of the community for it.
However, since the realease of 3.0.1 (and barbershop, so new models i guess) everytime i log into wow, i reach the character selection (i don't use new face models or whatever) and the enter the game. Then it takes 0 to 5 secondes before wow crashes (probably the time for the game to find a character using one of those new models and failing to load it when modelchanged).
I made a new list with Glitchy's model editing Suite before doing my race switch.
I use the latest version of the WoWMe
I also use a french client (since i'm french (you probably have noticed already))

Is this a known issue?? what can i do to fix this??

Ok i solved it doing this :

Thought id post an update...

Like posted previously, I had the same problem as OP, and was afraid the only solution was to reinstall.

After some messing with google, this is the only solution so far to the problem. Please note that this will only make wow playable again, and wont work with WOWMe afaik.

1. Delete your custom MPQ's from the data folder
2. Delete WOWMe.exe from wow folder
3. Delete Patch.MPQ from data folder
- WoW.exe will now give an error if you try to run it
4. Run repair utility
- The utility will revert your wow and restore patch.MPQ
5. Run WoW.exe
- WoW will rehash the 3.0.2 patch (provided you still have it laying around) and install it
- WoW will then reinstall 3.0.3
6. Launch WoW.exe and play

This should work!

Just like Exocet suggested in page 52.
I downloaded again glitchy's MES and the last MEF to be sure and it work now

Hey first i downloaded wowMe.. then i saw i should get tpatch 6..... i downlaoded put in to data and then start wowme then i press f8 when i can log in then i put my pass and username.... i log in make a night elf priest and go to the location but nothink has changed what have i done wrong?

technically, it isn't safe on retail wow. They say that it is "tampering with wow files" and that is a breach of on of the contracts that we all don't read... Blizz turns a blind eye on it for most model edits because it doesn't effect game play. But if you WERE to get a model edit that changes the scenery or makes it so that stealthed rouges had hunter marks over their heads (not sure if that is real, but i wish it was) it would be a breach of contract and your account would be canceled.
