My Exploration Channel: Teryaki's ChannelTeryaki#1806
I'm happy, Blizzard is getting their shit together, it'll be the first time since TBC that they are actually focusing on pleasing their subs instead of just swindling money.
It fits in their new model of trying to decrease downtime between raids (in the past, notable ICC and DS there was almost a year we were raiding the content) in both situations it cost them a lot of their player base. Hopefully they'll keep up this hard work, it's the first time in a long time where I have actually had faith that Blizzard would release more and better games.
I agree with you 100% kickasskid54. I suspect though that they are trying to compete with ArenaNet's promise for Guild Wars 2 to be the most up-to-date game when it comes to new content releases and just overall better customer service. I think Blizzard finally found out that they were loosing a lot of subs due to the fact the DS was out for a year and nothing new was being introduced. Burning Crusade they at least added more content after Black Temple, which was still new and fresh up till the launch of Wrath of the Lich King. They tried the same approach with WotLK as well, where they released The Ruby Sanctum after ICC, but it was only out for maybe a month before the Cataclysm launch so no one really had the chance to enjoy that content. Not to mention, it was really not a big release content wise. It seemed more like a copy-paste of The Obsidian Sanctum and just there to buy time for the Cataclysm launch in my opinion.
