It's $8.99 a month IIRC, you pay less than that for WoW?

To me its money well spent. That may not be the situation for everyone. But, I do not want to get banned and I'll pay a little extra for "insurance".

Been using the other big WoW bot for a a couple years now i do believe, tried Shadowbot mostly out of curiosity one day.. Very glad i did, this is now my bot of choice. The movement is so fluid and human like, i can pickout a CTM bot as soon as it flies by me. Not the case with this bot. The dev's have been incredible, the Wiki's make creating your own routes, and behavior's extremely easy.

I have no complaints at all about this bot. With all the changes brought with Patch 5.0, these guys are hammering out new beta's for us almost daily. We report bug's they fix em.. Highly suggest anyone on the fence, give this bot a shot.

First of all, i'm not going to lie. I'm an Honorbuddy user. Having said
that, Honorbuddy have some weaknesses and i'm willing to try a new
one... but... since Honorbuddy charges you just one time (one time only
payment) i think a bot based on a subscription fee should be A LOT
better, to be worthy of the expense. And, as far as I see it, SB is not
    superior to HB:

    1) It doesn't support archeology
    2) It doesn't support questing
    3)
Its API is nowhere as powerful as HB's API. HB has A LOT MORE methods
in their API to use in the Custom Classes (here called Custom
Behaviors). Besides, it is much easier to code them in C (code wise)
    than in XML.
    4) It doesn't support plugins. Now... you may say: What
do I want a plugin for? Well, a plugin can do anything you want, it's
like adding your own code to the bot. Some of the best functions come
from the community. If you want something the bot doesn't do, and you
can not code with its API, you will need a plugin. For example, one of
the bests plugins i've ever seen is AHBuddy. A plugin for AH that posts
in AH, undercuts competitors, gets your mails, etc.

    Now, SB is
100% passive. I think it doesn't matter, really. There are no bans
because of detections. HB remains undetected for the to the warden, even
though it injects code in memory. There are a few ways to get banned.
Using the bot for a week non stop is one of them. Getting reported is
another. But not because of the warden's detection. It has never
    happened before.

The other thing that bothers me is that this
bot doesn't allow us to use addons. Well, i use MANY addons while i'm
using the bot. For example, if i'm healing in heroics, there are some
bosses i can not heal with the bot (such as Morchok or Yor'Sahj), so, I
pause the bot, heal manually, and then start the bot for the next boss.
But i need my addons to do that. How am I supposed to heal without
    Vudho?

Now, I've seen their forum, and I must admit their
response time is impressive. Their customer service is top notch. This
is one of the things I hate from Honorbuddy... Their customer service
SUCKS BIG TIME. My understanding is that if they have a subscription
system, they won't want to lose their subscribers... And thus, they give
them a very good support. Since HB charges us for the bot just once, I
think they don't really care about us once we bought their product.

Having compared both bot's features, I
still chose Honorbuddy. Not because of its price. I would gladly pay a
subscription fee, but not only for the great support Shadowbot has... I
want all the features i have now in Honorbuddy.

Do not buy this bot, it's full of bug, and on their forum, they delete the messages of critics. It is very expensive for what it is, Lazybot is better and it s free.

But do what you want and some people like it. Me, i feel as a pigeon....
