In my honest opinion I just don't foresee Guild Wars 2 to be the so called "King" of MMO's... Yes, cata was somewhat of a fail.. but so far MoP has impressed me. I look forward to upcoming patches.

Gw2 lacks loot lust and dont actually have a good, competitive, with ranks pvp scenario. They will sink if they dont change this soon.

Are you some sort of retard?

What do you mean "but you are limited on what programs and addons you can use if you like to customize your interface"?

All addons work no matter the WoW version you play. Either OS X or Windows.

WoW works just fine on OS X.

Seriously, what the **** did you mean with that?

I play on Mac OS X a lot actually. I guess I should have specified that you can't use about 99% of the programs that are used and created on Ownedcore, simply cannot be run on a Mac. That's why I choose to play WoW on my Bootcamp partition because I know everything will work. I have had addons that I use regularly not work on my Mac side as well.

I have also run into problems with the client for Mac as well.

World of Warcraft offers something that GW2 doesn't, hardcore progression raiding. GW2 doesn't offer any compelling PvE for most hardcore MMO players. There's no challenge, no progression. That's why most Twitch streamers quit GW2 after a couple of weeks and went back to WoW, like Kungen, Kripp, Towelliee, etc. On the other side, GW2 offers something that WoW doesn't: world PvP. In my opinion GW2 should focus more on its PvP, making more zerg DEs won't get them more players I think.

Shifted: GW2 is a PvP game. Comparing WOW's PvE with GW2's pve is like comparing GW2 world vs world with WOW's BG fights where 99% are bots. There is no challenge because mainly, everyone is equal. Can you understand that? ANet has created a game where every1 is equal at lvl 80 and if they want progression its just to look different. Can you understand that ?

And how can you compare a shitty game with 2004 graphics and 1231231763 crap expansions with a game that is just released and has more open world than WoW Vanilla had ???

Kungen, Kripp, Towel, Athene, BlaBla are back to WoW for the PvE challenges. They think if you kill 24 players vs 1 boss you are doing something HEROIC! Guess what. There is nothing heroic 24 vs 1. Its just tactical brainless deepz. Oh, and they will play the game where they can find real challenges...because thats mainly their job. They are not paid to have fun, they just need to clear content.

Do you even know that sometimes those fails you see in their streaming are on purpose??? What if they kill 3 times the same boss, will go watch it again? No, its the same thing all over. But with every new attempt they may get more and more players. Beat that! Playing 2 fail!!!

    for dem gaimz!

lol @ GW2 having a more open world than vanilla WoW. Having to take an instance portal to every zone = FTL. WoW's graphics have aged well as the new lighting shading and texturing, water etc has been improved. GW2 looks great but systematically doesn't compare to ANY WoW whether it be vanilla or MoP. The gear is more boring, the GW2 trading post is flooded with items, since there is no competition on drops. this allows everyone to undercut each other until every regeant or item is at vendor level. + Built in Gem currency = Fail.

I don't think GW2 is going to be the King even with the "AHMAGAD" graphics. I bought GW2, played first few days of its release and it didn't appeal to me. Yes, graphics are good but I didn't like the class fighting system and mechanics.

So no, people don't quit GW2 for WoW only for "24 vs 1 Heroic stuff". Oh it's 25 by the way. They go back to WoW for other reasons too.

And if GW2 can't beat "a shitty game with 2004 graphics ", no need to get so angry about it.

GW2 is, to be honest, a really, really bad game. It has good graphics, but awful gameplay. They aren't fighting back at all. WoW is unique, and people who try fighting back are approaching it by turning themselves into a wannabe.

Guild Wars is and always will be a PVP game with some basic PVE attached to it.

Most of the people I know who are still loving GW2 are playing only sPVP. sPVP is a totally different game than the basic zerg wvwvw and generic pve.

All Addons work 100% on a Mac as they would on a PC. The lua engine is the same for both revisions. The only difference between Mac and windows wow is the use of directx. In fact on a of you can swap your graphics engine to mimic a Mac by going to OpenGL which is highly encouraged for testing Tga alpha channels. Name a single addon that works differently then I will delete my account. As an addon author I am 100% certain as long as its not a hack which interfaces with an outside app, the stock LUA engine is the same.

WoW has a unique play style. Noone can deny that. No other game has a similar balance of PvE, PvP and also has specific servers for RP. There's a reason cataclysm sold over 3.3 million copies in 24 hours and GW2 has only just reached 2 million in months.

gw2 is a joke. I'm sorry. I played 2 characters to 80 and cant stand the game anymore. The "endgame" is too grindy for my taste. WvW gets old pretty quickly if you're not part of a enormous guild ... its also infected with cheaters. The whole trading system is broken and plagued with bots. The story is extremly bad ... probably the worst I have seen in an MMO. On top of that the story-missions are designed very poorly. ( hitting the feet of an dragon for 30 minutes? no thanks). sPvP Tournaments is the only thing I still play, but none of the maps are nearly as fun as huttball in SWTOR.

What also strikes me as kinda funny, is how gw2 hase none of the features everyone was whining about when swtor released (groupfinder, UI customization, working guilds). Well there are guild banks, but to really benefit from anything you have to grind for month.

I liked swtor far more and played it alot longer. If they manage to release a real good expansion, I bet many will come back and stay. Hell if I had unlimited money I would start playing swtor again right now, even though I already have 4 max level characters. I truly concerned about how many of the core developers are leaving, but it also makes sense that they want to do new projects. (I'm developing games myself in my freetime and sometimes get sick of projects after a few weeks.)
