I'm really curious to see how viable it would actually be to level like this, with all the nodes being farmed by those with epic flyers and all. What if this is actually a faster route to 85 than it would be to straight up level oO?

Questing will also remain the fastest way to level followed by LFG and then BG's.

Economically viable ? Maybe. Boring ? Probably.

Will it revive lowbie economy ? Yes, at least the market for raw materials will liven up a bit and many professions which depend on these lowbie raw materials to level up won't be so expensive to level anymore ?

Will this lead to revival of lowbie non-gathering professions ? Hard to tell.

Will it make life hard for gold sellers and farmers ? Definitely.

TL;DR - get enough lowbies to farm raw mats for leveling and the gold sellers' grip in this niche will loosen a bit.

Let's hope leveling and practicing professions will become more fun and less of the gold-sinking nightmare it currently is.
