    A connection which I find to be interesting, which I haven't noticed before now - is how easy it is to compare Night Elves to a more known example - America. How they broke free from monarchy and a class-based society.

    I'll ponder a bit about this, and re-read it tomorrow.

    To answer the question(s), which both are... not sure what the correct word would be. Easy?

    I find it hard to describe then as cruel, I think I'd rather compare it to other instances where people has gotten too much power, and it has influenced them.
    Supressive ruling(correct words?) never works. Perhaps it would've been nice if someone could bash some sense into the heads of night elves (they always seem to make the wrong decision), but I don't think the highborne was any better.

    While I'll admit I may be quite special, I find it weird that this article hasn't received any more attention than... me.
