    I don't see how this affects us? none of us play the game.... I forgot there was a game just thought it was all CMD

    Root is not required for GPS spoofing, but in my attempt to GPS spoof on a non-rooted phone, I was able to GPS spoof, but it said no GPS signal :P It was funny because I was able to move the avatar. I imagine if I put some effort into it, I would have been able to figure it out.

    I wonder if that is detectable by niantic. If not then it looks like spoofing is back on the menu boys.

    no you cannot. unless the gps is integrated on the system app (which require root).. then it will not work and always no signal (because mock location need to turn on)
