Well if they see that you are botting or hacking or doing any misbehavior enough to be banned then you can be banned at any time.

I botted with 5 accounts - 2got lvl 31 with 3000CP Pokemons, 3 got lvl from 20 to 27
Only 1 never banned, lvl 26 with pretty rare pokemons.

it seems that they do these "ban wave" once a week..since it's just the 3rd ban wave out of the 3 weeks I've been playing. once you are one of the unlucky bunch who botted on the day they conduct a ban wave. for sure those account will get banned right on the spot. it's just a guess though..since the night before my accounts got banned, I've only used 2 accounts out of my 4 accounts. and you guessed it..during the ban wave..yep you guessed it! those accounts that I've used only on that day got banned. Now everything seems normal once again. (it's just a guess)

A Banwave is a silly concept created by fools who think Niantic pushes a button and only bans during that time.
This is of course nonsense, they have hundreds of thousands of accounts to ban and there is no known reasoning to it except they have their reasons for not doing it as soon as you are detected.

I have had accounts banned daily and anecdotally this seems related to the account creation date, with newly created accounts lasting longer than old ones. However my sample size is so small this assertion could be meaningless.

Stop trying to guess, if you bot you will be banned, if you snipe you will be banned, if you use any tool that uses RocketAPI you will be banned, determining when is a fool's errand.

I dont think its a ban wave and more like an on going process and they can only ban X amount at a time and you're ban is coming you're just a number on the line that is slowly moving foward.

I think yes most of the time. Some get ban a few hours later after the ban wave if the hack you are using is a bit more difficult to detect.

no, not only in ban wave. some of my accounts got banned between the bann wave.
