Warning to ALL AH Botters - you will get banned. It won't take long either.

I used SpamBears' AH bot, as did my brother in law. We both got banned at the exact same time, along with dozens of other users of the same bot. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone using that bot got banned. It was supposedly "undetectable." Not that anyone really believed that.

I lost 140m gold, another 100m worth of gear and $90 in my RMAH balance. Unless you have a friend that you can constantly unload all of your ill-earned gold and gear onto, you will be permanently banned, guaranteed.

I can show you the email from Bllizz proving it if you want.

Warning to ALL AH Botters - you will get banned. It won't take long either.

Tbh you believed anything spambears said.. He used to sell one bot, then upgraded it a bit and called it a new bot, so the ones who had bought bot1 needed to buy bot2.. Highly unethical and bad way of doing business if you ask me.. specially when you have only used so little coding to do it - the fact that you even mention that someone completely unreliable said that the bot was undetectable is just plain stupid.

We all know that ahbots have been banned a lot lately. However it is common sense amongst botters that you will be banned sooner or later..

Catching an AH botter is so unbelieveabley easy I can't understand why people are still trying to do it.

You're running a query every few seconds, only changing one or two integers creating spam calls to their system, using up their resources. They don't want you to do this. Anyone doing multiple hours per day is just going to be instantly banned off. All they have to do is a DB query to find the most search-intensive users.

It doesn't matter what bot - The bot isn't detected. It's the activity that you're doing that is so obvious it's rediculous. Of course you're going to get banned - Why are you in the least bit suprised?

I'm curious - does anyone know if this bot was using AutoIT (or whatever macro software it was) to generate random delays to make detection more difficult. You can define random variables between say 1 second and 5 seconds so that each loop through each action is slightly different, giving you trillions upon trillions of possible combinations. I see pretty much every script posted here overlook this concept. =\ I use random delays in all my macro scripts and have had no issues whatsoever. Including AH.

Most people play the game for 30-45 minutes at least before going to the ah, searching a few times. Maybe buy something or not, then grabbing a bite to eat or something to drink and going back into the game. Rinse repeat. Insert RR break here and there....

However Searching, wait, search, wait, search, search, wait, buy, search, wait.....
    all it sees is
search, search, search, search, search, search...
    blizz thinks WTF /Banhammer

    Does this explain it betteR?

I use macro, but not a bot to look through the AH. Been doing it for about 3 weeks. Not to heavy load. I think if you use non-common software, it is harder for them to ban you > According to the End User License Terms they can check your whole RAM. Anyway, I think using proper delays matters a LOT. If they are too lazy to look at your ram, it is pretty hard to detect. I'd suggest not only implementing 1-5s delays but also longer ones to make it really hard to distinguish.

They are banning based on server logs not by detecting the software... Using "non-common software" is no different than using the most popular bot.

"Most people" but you could make an argument to not get banned, and avoid being picked up by their automated ban waves through random delays. It would appear as if every single time through was completely unique on their logs, while a standard macro / bot will have the exact same timing every time through.

Which looks more like a bot:
Refresh, waits 2 seconds, Refresh, waits 2 seconds, Refresh, waits 2 seconds, Refresh, waits 2 seconds, Refresh, waits 2 seconds, Refresh, waits 2 seconds, Refresh, waits 0.01 seconds, Buys.

    or

Refresh, waits 1.8 seconds, Refresh, waits 4.6 seconds, Refresh, waits 7.3 seconds, Refresh, waits 1.4 seconds, Refresh, waits 2.2 seconds, Refresh, waits 2.6 seconds, Refresh, waits 2.3 seconds, Buys.

... the automated bans that macro users get are a result of the pattern you leave in the server log, the act of 1000 refreshes in a row alone is not. The act of 1000 perfectly exact timed refreshes, is.
