[Theory] I think I know why people are getting banned

My theory is that the accounts that were soft banned were flagged. Their ban filter probably just bans everyone that has been soft banned because you'll only get soft banned if you use a GPS Spoofer. Does anyone else agree?

Don't think soft ban has anything to do with it. I got soft banned for going from my house to a park about 10 mins away, but I lost connection on the way there and when i pulled the app back up I was soft banned..

Manually had to spin the sign lol. Luckily it was only 10 spins or so.

I live in a small town, and if you enter our mall while playing pokemon go, you are suddenly in a completly different city. Of course you get soft banned trying to use those pokestops etc. So no, gps spoofing is not the only way to get a soft ban.

All my google accounts are banned excluding my main, however my botted PTC accounts are still standing, botted from 0 to 32 before the banwave.

Has anyone here actually played the ****ing game? If you had at some point you would know that getting a perfect IV pokemon is like winning the lottery. If Niantic just looks at your account and you have 6 perfect IV rare/legendary pokemon. Guess ****ing what?

I actually agree with Arctisim with this. That's the reason why they set the limitation of pokestop and pokemon per day, to narrow down the searches. IMO it's impossible for them to go through millions of users for botting.

By softban I would mean, pokemon fleeing, unable to spin the pokestop, those that would require you to wait for hours before it being lifted.

I find that hard to believe because let's say you live in Alabama and you want to farm pokemon/pokestops in like Central Park you'll be banned. The only way you wouldn't get softbanned is if you didn't sign on for about a day or so and then gps spoof to Central Park. Everyone that botted has been softbanned at least once.

wrong many people never got soft banned, just check plane flights times and log on the location after the normal flight time.
