I'm just wondering if i GPS spoof up the road if Niantic can still track this? Is it the process of actually spoofing or the distance between your actual GPS and the spoofed GPS they detect? Sorry i do not know much about GPS spoofing. Cheers.

There is alot of spoofing going on right now and you should be good by spoofing follow a guide and you should be good my friend![]()
I believe they can detect what type of device connected to Pokémon Go. So for example if you spoof with Nox they would be able to see that you connected with a "virtual" device and still passed GPS to the servers. I.e. detectable and a possible ban in the future. However if you spoof on a rooted Android device I not sure they can detect it unless it is teleporting around.

In a general sense yes. As long as you're not jumping big distances at a time you should be fine. Make it look realistic in my opinion. I have been spoofing on my main account for approximately two weeks now.
You'll get flagged say if you are in your hometown at 6pm then you're 500 miles away at 6:30pm, that's just not realistic.
Doesn't make sense that they can detect NOX, since its an emulator that would totally destroy the purpose of having a Android Emulator but who know's![]()
I think that the app should be able to fetch information such as manufacturer, model and resolution from the connecting device. This can be set manually in Nox under "Settings" -> "Properties". If it isn't set "bignox" is the default manufacturer. So unless you change it I believe they should be able to detect it.
*edit*
So what I mean is just like I said a bit earlier, they won't be able to detect that you are spoofing the coordinates per se. But rather that you are connecting with a device that should not be able to pass on coordinates as it doesn't handle real GPS.

The account i'm playing is has been 100% legit so far and don't really want to risk it getting banned, i was just asking because i work about 0.25km away from a sweet 3 stop point and wondered if i could just spoof being in that spot during work and not risk my account as it's not far away. However if it detects a virtual device then it would seem my account is at risk. My android is not rooted, how long would it take too root one. Thanks for your replies.
Depending on level I would not risk anything on a legit account until things have settled down and we see what happens with all of the accounts that have been botting and spoofing.
I believe that they should be able to depending on what precaution you take with changing manufacturer, device id, making sure it has the correct resolution etc. But someone with a bit more knowledge might want to confirm this.
Not long. I don't have an android device that I run this on myself, only a non 3G Nexus 7, but I believe you have to root it to install GPS spoofers. More information can be found here How to Root - XDA Android Forums
