ISSUE: Nox App Player Completely Freezing computer at 50-55% initializing
Hello,
For me i am currently using windows 7 ultimate.
Nox app player is freezing my pc and sometimes giving blue screen too, only way to make computer work again is to restart it.
I have heard few other people having similar issue and they had Windows 10 so it doesn't seem to be OS issue.
Anyone possibly have a solution for this?
Even Bluestacks is not working and giving the freezing issue.
SOLUTION: DISABLE AVAST OR UNINSTALL, THAT SHOULD BE NORMALLY FIX THE FREEZE.

I have the exact same issue.
2 days ago nox worked perfectly fine, I turned my PC yesterday on (it did install Windows 10 Updates) and then i tried to start nox but it freezes my PC completely at 50-55% loading.
Till now i wasn't able to solve the problem. Reinstalling nox doesn't work for me.

Had the exact same problem, ironically solved it by turning off "enable hardware virtualization" in my antivirus (btw. it needs reboot afterwards). Probably some update forced the issue and after shuting down the computer it started fighting Nox app player for some reason. Hope it helps, created this account just for this reply :-)

Doesn't work for me. Enabling VT, disabling VT, Hyper-V disabled, no antivirus which could conflict, reinstallin nox, run as administrator, run in compatible mode. nothing works for me : /

For me, the solution was to uninstall my graphic drivers and do a fresh install from the Nvidia website, besides that I uninstalled latest updates of windows too.
Also disabled my anti virus.. idk what couldve fixed it..

Guys I'm pretty sure all of you guys who have computer freeze have Avast! installed, same here with me.
Uninstall it and install Avira instead, much better antivirus that doesn't block Nox App Player, it also speeds up your Nox since Avast! uses Virtualization and disables the usage of it on any other programs.

I can confirm it is a virusscanner-problem, i deinstalled avast and it worked, same freezes appeared with ad-aware, avira worked.
I dont like avira, want to have avast back. Hope the devs fix that

I don't like avira either, but it's the only solution that worked for me... using avast since a few years, using avira feels like a step back...
but i have to tell you guys, that it is working for my girlfriends pc with avast...

hullo, trying to install bluestacks led to my comp freezing, same with nox. After hours of trying to figure out why this was happening, and with a bit of help from this thread, i seemingly managed to fix the issue and gotten past installation: I diabled virtualization in BIOS. I dont think this will solve everyone's issue here though.
My guess to the cause of the freezing were; Avast + Windows 10 Home edition. I'm no expert so i could be wrong. Uninstalling Avast did fix the freezing but i still wanted to keep Avast so i tried disabling vt instead. I hope this helps some people.
