This forced update was intentionally done before the double xp event to tag bots. Ignoring the api mismatch and continuing botting right will almost certainly get you instabanned because make no mistake, as soon as the event is over there will be a ban wave just like after the halloween event.

Thanks for the info i had no idea about the event, i will keep botting my trash account, havent botted like a month on my main and i dont ever plan on doing it again

I'm so confused as to how this all works. I botted this morning before I saw the API had changed. Does this mean I will certainly be banned now?

if you didn't bot after the FORCE update you should be ok

Yeah, I was botting around 9am UK time, then came on here and saw the thread. FFS. Can't they ban me now rather than stringing it 'til the event.

If this goes like the last ban wave, the next ban wave should start after the double XP event, just like the Lapras event.
