Your sure about that? How much altitude data do you think apple and IOS let Niantic see?

Niantic can EASILY put into play a system that flags accounts when someone spoofs and sends blank altitude data when spoofing, to answer your question: every time you spoof and send blank altitude data its safe to assume it is stored and is possibly flagging your account, sure spoofers are not being banned right now but that doesn't mean things wont change in the future.

Look at their less successful game Ingress... if you spoof in Ingress you are banned within a few hours, more then likely the same system is in place in their more successful game, although instead of a ban you get a flag, and each time you spoof the flags just add up for a future review of your account. This goes for any spoofing on Ingress whether you spoof altitude data with each new location manually and match the spoofed location with the correct altitude for the coords or not, which means they have other ways of knowing besides blank altitude data, although blank altitude data being sent when spoofing is a DEAD giveaway!

It doesn't send blank data it sends a fixed value. Its the same value for all IOS devices on Wifi, Bluetooth, or Cellular data of -1 so that is not a viable way to selectively flag accounts.

[ruffnecktsk comments on So wait...the game verifies altitude? That's going to open a whole new can of worms. Suppose I am atop the Empire State Building. Unless I am misunderstanding this, a Pokemon still would spawn, and it would show that I was at a much higher altitude than what I "should" be (assuming ground level).

What we do know is noone has reported being banned for spoofing alone since the beginning of the game and there has been numerous banwaves. Niantic has not even banned bot accounts in over a month.

I botted as quickly and as unhumanlike as possible since the last banwave about 2 months ago. The results, I have a level 37 account holding 10 - 15 gyms for weeks with a dozen over 3000CP 100IV Snorlax, Lapras, Dragonite.

These threads are stupid, nothing is safe or everything is safe its all baseless speculation. We don't know what Niantic will do but you might as well get what you want as quickly as possible and ignore a potential ban, I have gotten to enjoy my botted accounts for weeks and if/when I get banned I will just delete the app and move on.
The point of this thread is for those that still want to do it, whether its 100% safe or not. I'm not claiming this is 100% safe, its just for those who refuse to give up the spoofing. I had ONE account banned for ONLY SPOOFING LOCATION in the very first ban wave. The account never touched a 3rd party tool, was nothing but spoofing location with my phone. They haven't done a ban wave in awhile as of recently, this is correct, but like you've said, nothing is safe, but might as well use the safest of methods if you're going to do it at all.

People aren't going to dig pages and pages into this section. No one really uses the search function of the forum honestly. Might as well make a post from someone who's been doing it since pretty much Day One of botting on this forum. You'll find threads from me way back as far as maybe 1-2 weeks after the game was released. I'm not dumb with this stuff and honestly I've made this thread personally like once a month since the time i discovered this forum :P

they do check altitude, and if you actually know what you're doing, you'll get a GPS Spoofing app (like Fake GPS Pro) in which also includes this data. You just simply enable Expert mode and it does altitude as well. Granted, you can't control it, but its there.

I did it for growing a youtube channel. I noticed the massive opportunity, reviewed basically every bot that came out between the months of May/June/July/August, and then had my original channel shut down for cracking PokeFarmer because the dev's of that bot are shit heads. Pretty much the only reason I did it was because of growing my channel. In 3 years i got 400 subs..... In 3 weeks of Pokemon Go videos, I got 2600+ before the shut down.
