Failed to detect location

Hello, for my son i'm looking for a way to let him play pokemon by himself at home since several friends of him do that also.
ive tried several things but when i mock location i always get the message failed to detect location. what do i do wrong?

you need marshmallow version of android.

It works but it takes time and patience.

My os is kitkat, gps spoofing is work. Not only marsmallow. But, josystik not work. What your OS? If marshmallow, i think it work perfectly. Turn off mock location and developer option to fix that (sory for my english).

i have android 4.4.4 on that phone so it probably is too old for it

I use 4.4.4, and i can fly to monica pier, although joystick not work. But its enough, for waiting new bot release. [emoji16]

for andriod 6.0
install fly gps...
go setting.. go developer options.. go mock location choose fly gps
running fly gps.. choose location.. bla.. bla.. choose joystick (pokemone)
running pokemon go

for android 5.0 & kitkat
root..
install lucky patcher..
install gps joystick..
using lucky patcher to change gps joystick from user apps to system apps
uninstall LC & unroot
install Pokemon go
go setting.... location chose gps (device)
runnung gps joystick... bla.. bla.. chose location...
running pokemon... wala....
