Why does multi account on a single IP not possible?

I am wondering why the bots get softban when running multiple account from 1 IP

The reason I am asking this is we have a few guys using the same wifi and playing "proper" in the office and it does not see to be an issue

Is it because the apps are using different ports or what? while bots like necro uses the same ports or rather the API does that?

Basically, when many devices have the same IP, they should be close together, like when many people use the same wifi network.

Multiple bots are allowed for one IP, just keep them close together (under 500m is fine for me) and you will not get soft-banned.

but still it doesn't explain why I can bot from the office IP at a location 2-3km away while the rest of the guys are playing in the same area

does that mean that there is something different with how the bot handle calls compared to the app? (I mean other that the obvious)

I tried 2 different bots with same ip and both got banned so fast so idk.

Maybe because two bots are many requests on the server, it identifies and BUMM, as a smartphone user, there's no way you simulate so many requests.

I think the softban occurs when too many requests is made by an IP

I'm run 3 bot on same ip, all use same cords and slow farm just 5k/h and run at 7 am then stop at 12 for 2 hours continue farm till 20:00 then sleep

More than 3 accounts on the same IP is against ToS from Niantic so you take the risk of being banned with more.
