Trainers,

After reviewing many reports of in-game cheating, we have started taking action against players taking unfair advantage of and abusing Pokémon GO. Moving forward, we will continue to terminate accounts that show clear signs of cheating.

Our main priority with Pokémon GO is to provide a fair, fun, and legitimate game experience for all players. If our system has determined that you cheated, then you will receive an email stating that your account has been terminated.

If you do believe your account has been terminated incorrectly, you should report it to the Pokémon GO Help Center:

Would slow down on the speed farming for now. Maybe even botting all together until new antiban is implemented.

I wonder if they are still going to ban accounts that cheated in the past but have now stopped, or if this is only for accounts that cheat from this point forward.

Seems like these bans are coming in randomly now. Like before they knew who was cheating, so the banwave came. Now they're sniffing around trying to see who's cheating to see certain trends.

Beware of level 28-35+. These levels become a red flag if you power level too fast.

I got hit on my 30+ the first couple days people started complaining . Then my last 29 got hit earlyer this week.
I got the emails today .

This announcement means nothing. The only thing it means is that we have to get smarter about cheating, plain and simple. There is a big big flaw in niantic's logic here. Niatnic isn't actually fixing the loopholes in the game that allow for cheating. All they're doing is banning the "obvious" cheaters. Well what about the non-obvious cheaters? They go free and clear. We can all still GPS spoof or run bots in the game.Also it is pretty much impossible for Niantic to fix GPS spoofing based on how android's operating system is open source by design. Everything in android's operating system can be spoofed and sent to Niantic. Impossible to fix this. So what do we need to do? Simply improve our techniques. We all need to report on what got us banned. If we did something that got us banned then bingo, take note of it and modify your techniques. Eventually we will be able to compile a list of "best habits" to make sure we aren't doing any obvious cheating.

The days of obvious cheating (sniping, GPS spoofing across massive distances, running a bot for 8+ hours non-stop) are pretty much over. Anyone who does that will get banned eventually.

Also for all you people who lost accounts. Stop cry babying it. Not like you guys actually put in tons of hours grinding these accounts anyways lol. I got two level 30 accounts banned and I wouldn't take it back what I did to get them banned. Why? Because I got to do all the crazy fun stuff in the game like battle in gyms, use high cp pokemon etc. If I was a normal player, I would have been spending all my time catching boring ass pokemons like pidgeys an ratatas. Who the hell even enjoys that? I don't. Without cheating, this game is boring.

In the morning, new acc has been bot at lvl 23 and was banned ).

I'm able to get them to lvl 25, a week later still no ban

i notice when you create an account on your mobile device and connect it to your wifi where your PC is connected and botting. it gets banned i tried it before when i made an account then botted it straight away then when i logged on my phone i turned wifi off and just use my mobile data. it got pass 2 waves. then 1 morning i accidentally turned on the wifi and turned my PoGo app by habbit and not even half a day the acc is banned. so im guessing my IP is blacklisted? i dont know does any1 have the same experience ?

same here. using a different proxy for each account. 3 diff. accounts. every single one is above 20+

I doubt so because when I used my wifi for botting, my GF's account is also on the same network but nothing happened to her account.
