Theory about the bans

theory doesnt work, i botted for litterally 18 hrs straight for past 4 days, gained atleast like 500-600k xp each day with lucky eggs..still not banned

What is your settings? i want to give it a shot with 500-600k exp, post in this thread pls bro

They are probably just running query script on database to find out the cheaters which is not hard at all
Considering I rarely hear any complaint from legit players, that proves that they are actually pretty good at isolating the cheaters.

altitude doesn't change = ban
IP doesn't match location = ban
Unrealistic Speed between two login location. ie. Distance between(location 1-2) / (Login Time 1- Login Time 2)

I am sure there are a lot of queries that can be run to find the cheaters. So if you are thinking you will be safe just by lowering XP/day, I can guarantee you that it's not going to work. People are probably not banned because they are in a subset of a database that hasn't run the script. It's going to be daily basis. You could be banned in 2 hours and you could be banned in 2 weeks.

The only way to beat it is to implement a true AI behavior botting system. For example a preloaded path with lat,long,and alt information feeding to the bot. Ideally with variable walking speed, variable throw accuracy (already implemented)

But honestly, the game has no depth. This is not like WOW, I am actually impressed there are people invested so much time in the development.

Only time will tell, lets test these theories, maybe we get lucky, but i will continue using a config that provides less than 180k, on other acc i will try to use a big xp config to test

I got one account that is lvl 23, im botting since the launch day here ( 3 august) done some botting, lots of snipes and gps spoof on my iphone, account still normal

XP per day doesn't matter, it doesn't flag anything and nobody is paying enough close attention to every account to do the math on daily xp. I've been botting on two accounts for two and three full days without stopping still not banned.

I would have to guess permabans come when you get flagged for softbans or excessive sniping/gps changes, since John has been a real dick about region specific pokemon, and also "fair play," like that makes up for the fact the game has so many flaws lmao what an idiot

If this game didn't require you to catch two hundred of the same goddamn pokemon just to power one up all the way I doubt so many people would be botting or gps spoofing and instead take a lot of pride in catching their one snorlax or dragonite

i think you are right, i will let the bot run all night, i got 2 softbans by my fault, because i had shutdown the bot and opened pokemon in my device by mistake, but was the pokestop softban, just spinned like 20 times and its gone, im doing like 3,4 snipes per minute, some times i wait between snipes, sometimes i dont, if i get banned i will reply here

I've had a few accounts all botting but all with different settings, all but one of the accounts were banned that account was at the slowest walking speed out of them all at 10km/h. it was one of 12 accounts that had the altitude changed to match location, it was one of six that had no name, it was one of 3 that also caught pokemon and pokestops and didn't recieve a soft ban. It was alsoone of the 2 accounts that wasn't used on an emulator nor did it use pokesniper. This account was used on webistes for map scraping and IV/ team checking. If it does get banned I will update this post.

I would put money on developers receiving personal cease and desist letters from Niantic and selling out the user base by providing Niantic with usernames logged by the bot. It's not like these bots don't already have telemetry implemented at this point.

Im level 26 and after 3days of not botting but regularly open it in my phone and in leapdroid, I decided to ups my pokemon using stardust i have 270k stardust.I powerup my Dragonite to 2.6k cp, snorlax to 2.4k cp and some other pokemons and after a few minutes i got dc'ed then poofed "failed to retrieve blah blah blah" perma ban.

im 90% sure they are banning based on xp/hour or xp/daily or even ip not matching location , using old data (from the moment the account was made till date), i had 3 accounts almost made from first week leveled to 30+ and they got all perma banned (sniped , botted at insane speeds , etc) , and later before the api update came out i made another 3 accounts which i botted (without even setting the char name or picking up the initial pokemon lol) to level 20 and never used them again. triend to log into one of them in Nox and it was banned , tried to log into the second one from Bluestacks and it was banned , and tried to log from phone into the last one and was banned too , i never sniped , never got softbanned on them(checked all the logs) and yet they got banned cos they were leveled to 20 in 1 day (using like 10km/h and "safe" settings).

It might not be immediate. After the first ban wave last Saturday, I checked all my accounts and found that there's 3 accounts not banned yet, out of my 10. I didn't bot from that day onwards, only logging in that day to check on them. Then yesterday 2 of them got banned. Thus I believe all accounts are flagged, Niantic is just banning them in multiple waves, not immediately.
