I used paypal for the transactions I made, and they seem to have a charge back. Should I try it?

F Niantic. Give me my $200.
They even banned my 2 kids accounts which I haven't botted on in over 2 weeks. They signed in today and both got the data errors.
don't worry about the investigation, they'll give you your money back. They can't prove anything and just say you have your password written down somewhere on your notepad and your son found it and used it
yes, and definitely **** niantic. My friend lost 80$ and I am also helping his get his money back

Lol I'd be careful taking advantage of chargebacks in any game -- although there's some legal loopholes that can rationalize it, you're basically committing fraud.

Isnt it fraud to ban people for life from your game and THEN update your TOC to say if you cheat you will be banned for life ?

See that's what I mean. It's easy to call that fraud as long as you can afford a good lawyer because otherwise in the court of law they always win.

Not fraud at all, from the google play store
What is a chargeback
A chargeback occurs after a buyer contacts their credit card issuer to dispute a charge that appears on their credit card statement. Chargebacks may be issued for a number of reasons including but not limited to the following:
An unauthorized party has made a purchase with the buyer's credit card
The buyer has concerns about the validity of the purchase
The buyer has been charged multiple times for the same order
The buyer is unsatisfied with a purchase and hasn't been able to resolve the problem with the merchant
The buyer hasn't received the purchased items as they were described
The buyer hasn't received the purchased items
In theory, even if you are banned for botting by Niantic and you spent any sum of money on the game, the onus should be on them to prove that you did something that violates the TOS. Essentially taking your hard earned money away from you without reason is basically fraud. Since Niantic won't respond to any ban appeals, then that makes it perfectly legal grounds for a chargeback. You were unsatisfied with the actions Niantic took against your account, and they also refuse to dispute it with you = automatic win for your case.

If you used PP with Google, just use the Google refund option. I did that, and my payments were made with a debit card and PP and all were refunded.
