According to tests, it works. It's just that like the original softban, it depends according to the statistics of your account. If the game detected you catching this much pokemon in this short span of time, it will ban you accordingly. Like if you teleported to Sydney from New York in 1 second, it will take you normally 12 hours to lift the soft ban. In this case, the number of pokeball misses is the dependent variable changing according to how fast you caught pokemon.

So if I understand right you get a pokestop ban by getting too many pokestops, and catch flee ban by catching too many pokemon in a period of time?
Basically that means that high XP/H configs are pretty useless since they will just hit the cap much faster?

Exactly. That is unless there is an efficient way of handling the new softbans now.

As you call "limited amount of pokestops", i can testify that its false. I have been using masterball.exe (farming pokestop) for a long time and im pretty sure i hit way more than 2k pokestop in order to obtain 700 ultra balls.

Well I'm using the extra human config from here: New * improved 99%-100% iv team creator bot + location * high level * 50k-100K XP/H

Its been running for 16hours now nonstop without any ban and its at level 19. I doubt I will go over the limit in 6 hours. So if the theory is correct. It should reset after 24 hours. Therefore I dont need to stop running the bot. The "WalkingSpeedInKilometerPerHour" is set to 3.0.

I can attest to that because I tried leaving the bot open overnight and when I woke up I was getting catchflees everywhere. Went back home 12hours after then tried missing around 180 of my pokeballs then finally was able to catch pokemon again.

So from further testing accounts seem to hit about level 21,5 without lucky egg before getting a temporary catch flee ban. Using a lucky egg this is increased. Leds me to conclude it is related to Pokémon catch rate and not experience rate. Which is consistent with what others have been reporting.

well, i have been sniping quite alot, and only did a quick restock, so i dont have any more ultra balls, except 100 left and a bunch of great balls
edit: you can easily test it by making a new account, and use necro bot, change the config, turn off catching and traveling only, throwing away the items and use it with masterball that farms pokestops only for 2~3hours

lol dude , use the brain .... if u set bot to walk 3.0 km / h .... then u wont be temp ban , because u 're getting less xp per hour ( less pokestops too ) lmao
16hours running a bot and u're lvl 19 , i dont think its enough to be banned but not a good config too ( at least for me, my opinion).... but if we set the bot to work quickly , with fast xp config 5hours = lvl 20-22 + temp ban and waiting time to get back botting 5hours or less with my tests.not as many guys says 24hours to get back botting.

I had catchflee ban on one account. Waited 14 hours still banned. Started to catchflee like 25 times and was unbanned.
Could have been coincidence that time ran out or it works like spinban and is unbanned after a certain amount of catchflee.
