Depends, is there more chance of this not being a ban and him getting banned because he sent the appeal and they looked at his account, or is there more chance of this being a ban and him getting his account back through appeal?

To me, this is 100% a ban so the latter is worth a shot.

Well...guys don't worry and don't think that even one of your botted accounts will survive, after the first ban wave I lost some accounts but I still had some still working so I was thinking that I was safe with those ones...wrong, even if I didn't bot them anymore Niantic got those too. So don't think you are safe, maybe just they didn't get to you yet with so many accounts that they need to check. Anyway...good luck!
