Update was done on 11th of August not 10-20 min ago .

Hi all, I'm from Taiwan, sorry for the pool English first.

Lots of people got banned today. Some of them can't catch pokemons and some of them can't spin pokestops.

Actually, all people got banned ONLY FOR POKESTOPS.

Because the people who say they can't catch pokemons are using BOT to check.

If you look at the BOT console more carefully, you can find all escape pokemons result in using ItemPokeBall.

BUT THERE IS ACTUALLY NO POKEBALLS IN YOUR BAG ALREADY.

There's still lots of forks of BOT on Github, you can check it out yourself!!
(Set Items -> PokeBall to zero can workaround it and continue using BOT to farm)

This might be the main reason of today's ban. These error packages lead to a HUGE ATTACK to the servers!!!
(You guys can also notice that there are lots of Pokemon servers are going down today.)

And sadly, the BOT on Github are all closed just a few time ago.

In conclusion, I think this new ban is just a workaround to stop the huge attack of error packages.

It not mean to a permanent ban, so I believe it will unban soon. Not to be worried too much

yesterday night about both of my botted accounts i ran insence and couldnt catch pokemon. a couple hours ago i ran insence and used a ultra ball and now i can catch them on there again. on the other botted account i tried using incense but forgot to use a ultra ball the first time and Pokémon are still fleaing. Maybe using a ultra ball on the first catch after running incense is a softunban .. or maybe it really is server issues, or maybe i just got lucky. anyhow the one i cant catch pokemon on still works at the gym so im good.. just gotta wait it out
