In Ingress, Niantic's earlier game, there were unannounced and uncommented banwaves happening randomly. There is simply no way to predict if you're getting flagged or permabanned.

Yes, and they retroactively banned players, too (in Ingress). It sucks, it really does, but that's how they do their business.

I have heard that the bans are being reported by other people and that is where there have been permabans. I have not heard of any permabans occurring from niantic itself. I would recommend not going over level 33 by yesterday....and then 34 before mid to late next week. This is just from observations of what is realistic with numbers.

Doing now some last tests and bug fixes, when everything is working stable again there should be a release maybe in 2-3 hours.
