did u restart the bot after u edited the user.xml?

Yes, that's what I want to do. On the list, I put Rattata, Pidgey, Doduo etc but the robot captures the pokemons. I saved the file and restart the robot several times.

You'll have to wait untill Necro's bot allows radius, there was a pull request but it got declined.

using the combined one and the walking is so nice, hitting 13 pokestops...but the area I'm using has no damn pokemon...waiting to switch elsewhere

I get PokemonGo.RocketAPI.Exceptions.PtcOfflineException error at PokemonGo.RocketAPI.Login.PtcLogin.<GetAccessToken>

i dont know im catching all pokemons to evolve them and then to transfer, its more xp
the dust and the marbles i dont care, the first i need is lvl up to get stronger pokemons
but the evolve stuff isnt working like i wish, everytime if i start the bot again he evolves, but not the captured one.
but its ok, the bot is still in development.

did u set your username and password correctly in the user.xml?

you have to edit the red ones in your user.xml
im also running a ptc account and ii works perfectly

One of them is over 1k CP (default keep CP threshold).
The other two are 85%+ perfection (default keep perfection threshold).

This way people can save up on pokemon to spam evolve.
