This bot is really unusable without a guide. No idea what features this bot entails, and on top of that I don't know how to customize my features. Appreciate the share, but I'm going to wait for a guide to test this release.

Yes, it does clean up. But only common items from pokestops. Don't worry, it won't drop incenses or something like that :P

You certainly are doing something wrong as you don't need to download anything. Just follow the guide on the GitHub Page.
