I am not sure that it is a fake, the last days many twitchStreamer got reported for GPS spoofing. Maybe they really looked into it

When the accounts that people use for probing with the python maps don't get banned for spoofing, I doubt some reported streamer would get banned...

The localisation of the Italian language should be already implemented, but it is a fake since softbans are the only penalties yet known.
It is very VERY unlikely that only a few get permabanned if you think about how many do it on a regular base.
What is known is that people get banned also in Ingress for GPS Spoofing in Pokemon Go, but Niantic came along and became softer in terms of penalties.
But since GPS Spoofing is not really a extreme Exploit or Hack comparing to a Aimbot for example throwing a pokeball or exploitng the nearby pokemon call WHICH is for sure possible just give it a bit time and it will happen for sure. I looked at the game and I can see some things will happen soon.

that is the point! Our dummy-accs would not be reported but the Streamer Account will be.

Gyms are very much so.

It's really not, you can 6-vs-1 a Gym down easily. Building one up to level 10 with good Pokemon does nothing, it's just a easy to take down and just becomes an XP farm.

I wouldn't call that competitive.

Fake or not. I'd be safe and use this module to prevent pokemon go from detecting any apps on your phone like FakeGPS or Lockito etc.

I highly doubt a message from a number from Belgium, addressing themselves as 'Pokemon go' (note the capitalization) instead of Niantic Labs, is authentic.
You might want to report that number to your local telcom provider.
Can a mod close this thread since the original post is a false alarm (photoshopped).

or will they search through back logs to look for bot behavior?
