The smiley ":o"

This is a thing that bothers me...
When i write the smiley ":o" it turns into some wierd smiley with a smile that looks a bit like the joker in Batman...
I dont really think that it fits for that smile, maybe the creepy-batman-smiley should be written like ":}" and a new smiley whould replace ":o" that acctually look like doing ":o"
I think that i'm probally the only one that is getting bothered by this but it'd be awesome if you whould replace it :)
