PM storage count is ridicilious low

Seriously. Increase it to at least 25 or 50

And your server sending email once your inbox is full when someone tried to send you PM. Believe me this stress more your server than having bigger PM count.

Yes, the rank increases the amount of messages you can have. I can currently have 300 PM's. I agree however, 5 is kinda on the low side. It only takes 4 reputation points to increase your rank, though.

If you want something, you have to give something -> support the community, earn reputation & you will get a larger out/inbox.
5 is low, could be inc'd to 10 or 15.

Probably because Ownedcore promotes actually being part of the community rather than leeching. A single constructive post can get you the few rep needed as Reflection said. Hell, you could even buy a miniscule amount of gold from a few people and get the rep needed.

Your other option is to support the site and donate to it which gives you access to new, exclusive features of the site as well as a 150 PM limit (plus you get to support the site).

5 is fine. To be honest I don't see why you need to communicate with members of the community if you are not part of it. You are under no obligation to contribute but I don't think you should really expect extra features if you aren't going to.

There was a guy who I have talked with via PM. I had my inbox full and cleared it out before he sent his last message, asking me a question on the matter we were discussing. He didn't clear his inbox like I did, so I couldn't reply to him. In fact, there's absolutely no way I can contact him.

Even if I was a cool guy with 9999 reputation and a 300x300 avatar, there's still absolutely nothing I can do to reply. I tried adding him as a friend, hoping that there might be some silly way to talk after we befriended each other, but he seems to have not noticed that.

Five messages. Seriously.
His first message - my reply = he has 2 messages
His second message - my reply = he has 4 messages
His fifth message = he has 5 messages. I can't reply.

It isn't like I don't understand the nature of this particular restriction - there are at least two reasons to have a low cap for PM, but five? That's a bit too low.

You can post visitor messages on people's profiles you know.

There is a reason for this.... SPAMMERS! It is ridiculously easy to get more than 15 rep. Unless you have nothing to contribute. If you have nothing to contribute, why should you be sending private messages?
