Improve Layout On Large Resolutions

The (what I assume are) background images for the site are laid out poorly on large resolutions.

I often run at 5760x1080 and this is what I see:


Obviously not a huge deal, but it would be nice if the site could remain visually pleasing under all 'standard' resolutions (nowadays a tri-monitor setup is not uncommom)...

Scroll to the bottom, bottom left, change your skin from fixed to fluid. Enjoy.

It is my understanding that BlueFox will be removed in the near future. Also, as most people are using the new theme, I want to be able to see what most other people are going to see when formatting my posts, laying out pictures etc. I don't want to change themes entirely, I just think that the current one could use a bit of tweaking.

Also, using the fluid theme stretches the entire site across all 3 monitors, which looks just awful. There's nothing wrong with the content staying fixed like it is (at least as far as I'm concerned), I'm just asking that the layout be tweaked slightly to 'play nice' with my resolution.

Get rid of the image, choose a different background with soft edges or a grey to black gradient

Complaining is my form of criticism and criticism is my form of trying to help improve ownedcore.
I remember one logo contest where copyrighted images weren't allowed. Seems like the current picture is owned by blizzard. You can find free images here

if you choose one, please make sure it looks good with the rest of the layout. A dark blue or a grey picture preferably.
Or, use a gradient/no color at all.

We'll take a look at what works with the background. This background does look like a Blizzard background but it isn't. We own the rights. The fluid theme is also coming up and that will all be done shortly.

My best idea is to ensure that the pictures are on the actually frame of the website, and to have some sort of patterned background so that its not just black space.

We are are open to solutions on the background. The fluid version of the new theme is coming up but of course thats not your fix. I'll see what we can do.

Why not just run firefox/chrome/IE in a window instead of fullscreen then just put it in fluid and scale it to whatever you like on whatever monitor you like. Job done.

Maximizing a window still stretches it across 3 screens under SLI mode. I'd have to run in windowed mode, and manually resize the window to fit in one monitor. Pain in the butt.
