Hide, delete, or lock banned users posts?

There have been lots of spam bots on your website, I find it strange you guys don't delete or hide the posts for other users. Without them being deleted, they're still getting free advertisements and people can bump their posts which doesn't really solve anything.

Are you guys lacking moderators? I wouldn't think it takes much effort to select the post and delete the thread. Anyway, just cerious is all. Thanks for your time.

When you run into a spam post or thread that's been posted by somebody who is banned, that means that a moderator has seen at least one of their posts, and infracted them for a ban. The problem is that it's the Greenies who're finding the posts, so while they can infract the post, if it's not in one of their sections, they can't delete the post.

We can't have banned users posts vanish, because not every single banned user is a spammer. A lot of people have contributed a good deal of content to the site, but then they made a few bad decisions (etc.) and managed to get themselves banned. Even though they're banned, the content they posted is still helpful.

If you run into a spam post, simply hit the report button (the "!" inside a triangle) on the bottom left of the post, and when somebody with the ability to delete it comes along, it'll be taken care of.

Also, while you're in the spam thread, try and resist the temptation to comment on it in a post, because as you said, that does nothing but help the spammer. So don't respond to spam, just report it and we'll get it soon.
