Not giving out our emails to scammers

So, I seem to have stumbled across something rather interesting. Any email address used for registration on this website inevitably gets scam emails, you know the ones I'm talking about: account under investigation, please confirm password, etc. Even if the email was made and used ONLY for registration on mmowned, and not even linked to a WoW account in any way. Yet the email addresses that are actually attached to myself and friends accounts, but not mmowned, haven't received a single scam email.

Anyone getting any different results?

Some services filter a lot of these e-mails out.
Somebody made a new account and registered with a new e-mail only here and started receiving the e-mails. It is something to do with this site, probably a bot that gathers emails and posts them online or something. *shrugs*

I tried this out a while back, I created my friend an account here with a brand spankin' new email. That email was never used again, the account was never used.
2 weeks of dormancy later, there were 41 scamming emails all related to World of Warcraft. So, somehow emails are getting leaked.
Not sure if it's still happening.

Happens to me too, I get scammed emails all the time, but I don't know if there all from MMOwned.

I'm unaware of emails being public from anywhere. (Except for moderators and admins)

There is an option to show your email, but it is turned off by default.

I'll take another look, and see if we happened to miss anything. Please feel free to let me know if you see anywhere showing emails. (It'd obviously have to be a fairly public place)
