Paid Name Changes

Ok so since recently I had my name changed and do not like it, I have to wait X amount of months to get it changed back.

I think we should have paid name changes on mmowned.

1. It will make someone happy
2. It will help keep the site running

I think that, after your initial name change if you want to name change again within the changes 'cooldown' per se, there could be a fee for it.

I can't see anything wrong with it.

It's just adding a NEW feature that even though few will use, doesn't cost the site anything so it's good for them as well.

And getting a name change isn't something people should be doing often so there's no reason for others to complain about it.

Well, if you are a donator+, you should get free name-changes even if they are on cooldown, as we already paid/donated.

Just sign up with the right name to begin with. If you change your name more then once a year you need to start thinking before you make decisions

This is actually a good idea in my opinion. Will make MMOwned some money and Ket can just get a mod or 2 on it. (I'm sure people will do this for free if you find the right ones)

I don't think this would be a good idea as 2d said it would make it too easy for people to scam. All they would have to do is scam someone, change their name and then probably get away with it.

About the scammer thing - bring back the old log of name changes as well?

Name changes are logged. So the issue with scamming is fairly small. (Still very possible, but easily tracked.)

Name changes would be done by hand anyway, so it's not like someone can scam you, then have their name changed instantly.
