Rep references in signatures.

Rep references in signatures, such as 'going for contributor!' or 'remember to give rep!' or 'rep is good' etc. You know what I'm talking about...

While I don't really have a problem with this, I was just wondering if it has been brought up before/discussed, merely because, in my eyes, it is a form of inadvertently asking for rep, or at least a reference to rep....

I'd just like to know what's up with it.

Not quite sure about "remember to give rep" but as far as "going for contrib" "X till X rank" will get you infraction points AND -Rep.

If you're going to put "remember to give rep" on the end of all your posts you'll probably get no repututation at all and your thread turns into a Flame War. So I don't think people are still doing this. Maybe once, but they usually edit their post after someone said something about it.

So I don't think this is a problem.
