If someone posted something useful that would award them member of the month, they'll already get a ton of rep, there's no point to giving them rep, ON TOP OF the rep they're already be getting due to their good post.

The title "Member of the month" in bold is meaningless. Maybe you didn't notice, but the word 'Contributor' is also bolded. And no one looks at that, they look at a blue font.

We really don't need more epeen flaunting.

BTW: As far as rewards go, we did have a "Gold system" a while ago. But you got the coins from doing some meaningless survey things, and having the coins just didn't mean much to anyone, even if you could buy them on some random little pictures by your name.
