    An animator should:

    * be creative and artistic
    * have drawing skills (and sculpting skills for stop frame animation using clay)
    * have excellent IT skills
    * be patient and able to concentrate for long periods
    * be interested in art and design.

    Is all I can find.

    Another good quality you should have is make posts people can read because that text just makes me want to stab my eyes out with a fork or what ever I can grab ...

    I've been looking at the same career since I was 12.

    I found out that most companies hire employees based on what they can do, and don't really care about anything else except High School Diploma. As well as most colleges look at portofilos of potential students to accept them and allow them to fully enroll.

    A recommendation is start a portofilo of "clean" programs, animations, and other misc stuff. What I say by "clean" meaning if you designed a hack program for a game you can't use it for any means in a portofilo. If you designed a game that works 90%, but it has a few bugs. Use it.

    I'm still gathering up my portofilo which I've been working on since I was 13. I'm 17 now and its grown a bit, but I don't feel its enough.

    If you have a degree in Video Game Design but no hard on the job experience your portofilo will assist you there. Also the requirements are more so recommendations of what they would prefer to have the person fill the position. Basically don't have to meet them on the spot, but have the potential to meet the recommendations.

    if u want to enter this business dont give a damn to any "game design" college studies etc - it means nothing to all big players on market - You only need to have some higscool graduation diploma and good portfolio - join free game design project groups (there's a lot of them on the web) - start from sth small, like making casuals, flash games etc (for companies one project thatr you completed is more important than tens of bigger projects u participated in but none was ever finished - so basically completed casual is more important than participation in creation big game which was unfinished). You can also think about modding - some companies even requires in CV mods to their games towards employment (some Ubi dev teams and BW for example).

    I have corrected your post. Obviously you're not perfect, either. I highly suggest you offer more constructive feedback next time.
