    [media player] vlc media player

VLC (initially VideoLAN Client) is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats, including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, MP3, and OGG, as well as for DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.
It also can be used as a server for unicast or multicast streams in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network.

Probably most of you allready have it or know it ...
But still for the ppl who dont know it yet it's a nice media player.

GomPlayer (GOM software - Free, Simple, Light, It just plays! - GOM Media Player, GOM encoder) is MUCH better imo. It supports all the same codecs as VLC, and the interface looks WAY better! GomPlayer also have an option of change subtitle size, and changing the colour volume.

I like VLC for video, but for music I wouldn't use it... I'd stay with itunes or WMP

btw I used to think Windows media player sucked, but wmp 11, has been greatly improved... and is actually worth using for videos that don't need special codecs

I have VLC too. Even though I love it deep down with all my heart, I'll admit that the interface could use a bit of work. XD

VLC is THE media player to have. I haven't found a audio/video file it hasn't been able to play yet.
