QuakeNet - Help.

Ok, first off, I'm teh noob at QuakeNet :confused: ...

k, first of all, what is it?
Is it more like Vent where you can talk,
or like MSN where you chat?

I went to Quakenet.com, and I could not find anywhere to download it!

Alright, bring on the flamers! (And hopefully someone help's)

quakenet is an irc server, irc is an abbreviation for internet relay chat. essentially it's a chat server you can create rooms on for the purpose of organizing games with other quake players.

if you want to use irc, you'd best download mirc (mirc.com) first. it's pretty ugly (plain white, unless it changed) but you can get scripts and whatnot to make it look better. you can get more information on the quakenet.org website though, so you should look there.
