stupid xbox 360!

I recently ebayed a Xbox 360 and I go to connect to live and it says failed. I showed something like this...
Network Adapter: Wired
Ip Address: Confirmed
DNS: Confirmed
MTU: Confirmed
ICMP: Confirmed
XBOX LIVE: Failed

I cant figure out why it keeps failing! I called the company and they said it might be due to physical damage. The seller won't answer my messages on ebay and I don't know what to do now. If any one can help me get the bottom of this +rep for you =]

Yeah, that person that sold it to you might have been banned from XBOX LIVE. Contact EBAY and tell them about your problem. Also, make sure you read the auction page. He might have added somewhere that XBOX LIVE does not work. If it doesn't you should be able to get your money back.
