    [LiveStreaming] A project of mine I'd like people's opinions on.

    Hello everyone.

    Lately I've been working on modifying my video card bios, finding out the best bitrate/quality/size codec for screen capturing along with messing around a screen capture program that hooks into DirectX itself instead of using GDI ( Which makes you lag, no matter how fast your computer is. ) and finding the right website and the right uploading program. I've been doing many other things but unless you're interested in knowing the inside and out of video live streaming with every tips and tricks that are mostly unknown, I'll skip to my project.

    I have an end goal of getting a small community revolving around me. Yup, sounds selfish, but here's how I'd like to do it. I will soon be getting 100Mb/s download and 5Mb/s upload with unlimited data transfer and I would be live streaming EVERYTHING I do when I'm at the computer. The stream will be 1080p ( Not quite 1080p since I'm encoding it to decrease the bit rate by tons, but you guys shouldn't notice too much ) or 720p like I've been streaming lately. 30FPS as there's no point in using twice the power and bandwidth just for a 30 fps increase that people watching will NOT notice.

    I would have my own website with a mibbit client and the live stream from Owned.tv Iframed on the main page. People wouldn't have to register to talk on the stream as they'll be asked to make a name by the mibbit client if they want to talk to me when I'm near the computer.

    The biggest part of this will be interacting with the users, I will be talking, answering questions playing music ( On request if I have it, or I'll just download it if more than 1 person requests it ) all while playing games. I want the users to feel like they're playing with me, or at least be part of what's happening and not just like if you were watching the MLG channel. I will have a camera ( or multiple depending on the suggestions I get here ) set up so people can see my face as I'm talking / getting owned / owning. The only reason the stream would be down when I'm near the computer is if I'm recording something or if I'm not sober enough to interact with anyone. lol

    Once Dota 2 comes out, I'm most likely going to play until I go pro, and then some more.

    Here's what I'd like input on;

    Where should my camera/cameras be placed? What should be the focus point?
    I have a L shaped glass desk with my tower on one side of the L, 6 speaker, 2 monitors + Keyboard and mice on the other side. My room is usually always clean so I don't mind setting up a 2nd camera for people to see wtf I'm up to when I stand up and walk over to another side of the room. ( I could even set it up so that when 1 stops picking up movement, the stream automatically switches to one overlooking my room. ) Intimacy is really NOT an issue here, I am looking to do something not a lot of people do and that will make people feel like they're here with me.
    What kind of resolution is acceptable for streaming? Let me know if it should be game specific, if the screen resolution should change and the placement of cameras + games / desktop depending on what I'm doing. If so, what do you think it should look like?

    I can't think of any other specific questions I'd like answered, but I'd like as much feedback as possible, whether you know me or not, this would be a stream for the public. Someone going Pro again with no "I'm pro, and you're a nobody" bullshit.

    If you have any questions, comments on how this should go or if you'd like to see anything specific, please, PLEASE tell me.

    I'm most likely going to give moderator status in IRC chat ( The one linked to my stream ) to anyone who answers with a constructive answer or any kind of feedback in this thread.

    Should I just disable the poll in order to get some kind of answer? Seriously, take 3 seconds to post any of your thoughts. I wouldn't have written this wall of text if I wasn't looking for some answers.
