    Linux

    OK so I'm very tempted to try out Linux on a spare hard drive I've got but i cant figure out which Linux to use : /

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    ubuntu is nice and compact and easy to get started...you can also install it to a thumb drive...

    Yeh Ubuntu is currently downloading. Just doing a bit more research on it

    DO NOT USE SLAKWARE lol i use it and its a HUGE pain for gaming :P cedega is nice and ubuntu tried em both and they both seem pretty nice

    Are there any linux for PPC mac with Wine? i partitioned my damn harddrive a long time ago for it, my brother installed it, erased everything since he partitioned wrong, now i have a 50g block of my harddrive unused >.>

    Ubuntu owns (especially for noobs and the lazy), but if you have a wide screen monitor, good luck, and wireless can be a bit of a pain. But once you get past that it's all good. If you think you're going to double click to install most things, you're wrong. Anyway, if you want something better than wine PM me and I'll send you cedega.

    EDIT: Forgot to say, the install is also a LiveCD which runs from ram instead of the hard drive.

    yeh been running Ubuntu for a few days. Very very nice little OS. Had only one problem so far (can make my mic get any louder : /) but that's about it.
