As noted in our public staff meeting today, we are looking for any suggestions or ideas for mmowned v2 which is located right now at fpsowned.com. If you have any ideas on layout, forum organization, skins etc then please fire away. The front page especially as right now it is default at the moment.

I dislike the new one, i like this one.. or the older green one! If we change theme im definatly manualy chaning it.

I'd like to second the thought of having both this theme and the old green one available. I don't personally like the new one, and I figure it should be up to the user to decide what they want to see.

We are still very much open to a new theme or changes to the current theme which is why we are putting it out there.

I agree with the comment made by EcHoEs about the login boxes using some work.



The black text is a little hard to read on the background color of the input field. Also it is a little bit small. One similar to what we have no would be nice (size-wise).

The icons we have set up for the forum currently seem to be a little bland to me. We have many talented artists on the website who I'm sure would spend 10/15 minutes creating some that are more related to what MMOwned is really about.



I had a question about advertisements though. As seen in the below picture:



Are the same rules going to apply as to what we have now? Certain usergroups are exempt from seeing them? They are in a really nice location though, that I do like.

Also, a nice distinct logo would be nice (unless it is our crazy panda-man?). Something like Curse.com has:



Would be nice. Also a matching favicon maybe? The 'M' we have no is long obsolete as it was only compatible with our old MMOwned style with the ninja blade guy at the top (Demon hunter?).

The current color combo we have on the test site is fairly attractive although we have been using that scheme for what seems like ages now. Maybe something a little lighter? Just my opinion, but we should maybe have a vote of some sort to find out what the community wants most as the color scheme for the site. I think this would put an end to all the inc complaining about how they hate the new look.

The front page that we have on MMOwned is fairly nice and I wouldn't be sad to see it brought over to the new site as well. Ofc new options should be added with the new features available (blog etc.).

One glitch I found (you probably already know about it but just in case you haven't seen it yet) is located on the 'What's New' page where the shoutbox seems to be a little cut up:



I hope that gives a little insight into what some members might also be thinking but don't want to post . I can't wait to see the new site!

I'd like to second everything Glynbeard just said, particularly about the login fields.

First, I really like the logo at the top, that's awesome.

I took another look at FPSOwned forum index to see what's bothering me about the design, and it's that the forum header text (eg. News, Suggestions, Shared Lounge) is smaller than it is on MMOwned. Same thing with Last Post and the thread/post counts for each category. It's a pretty small thing, but it just looks odd to me compared to MMOwned.

Can the text be set to the same size as it is here?

Also, the category headers (eg. News, Private Lounges, The Market) look a bit simple, that should be changed.

Lastly, when you're looking at a thread the poster information is on the left rather than the top. Is it going to stay like that? I find I prefer it on the top, myself (since that's how it is now). There is also the New Threads, Latest Blogs, and Latest Articles at the bottom of each thread, and I don't think they belong there. They look good on the forum index, but not on thread pages. Sponsored Ads- I assume you want ads on every page, but this should definitely be moved somewhere else on thread pages.



For the Tags part at the bottom of each thread, I think that should be moved up to where Thread Tools is, like this.



Honestly, as it stands right now it just doesn't look like MMOwned. MMOwned just has that particular look, and the new style is cool, but not what I expected, and I can't say I like it so far. However, I also do believe you guys are going to refine it some more, i'm eager to see where it goes.
