What do you think about the new patch?

It's great. WoW usually gets better each patch.

And seriously, having mounts earlier only makes it easier to level alts. I don't see anything bad about it...except that I don't have any class left unleveled, so this is useless to me.

The truth is, the faster people can get out of the barren (yes, including THE Barrens,) mostly empty areas of the game and into the newest content the better. I don't think noobs would enjoy grinding to 68 mostly alone very much.

Besides, most WoW content wasn't designed to be very relevant for more than a year. Vanilla and TBC are just...there...doing nothing. If zones/dungeons/raids/whatever scaled with your level (past its expansion's level cap because level 1s in Molten core = omfgwtfbbqsauce--someone is getting fired at Blizzard) THEN old content would be relevant but DAMN that would be hard to balance. I mean, you'd think with so much money Blizzard would be able to hire enough code monkeys to figure that out but what can I say?

I dont see what all the hype is about. There making the game more "casual player" freindly. I have a job, a life, and friends that I like to do stuff with. I play wow on something I call my "free time". I have 2 80's and I'm good at what I do when I do it. If I wanted to suddenly start a new character, get him to 80 and get geared, it would take me about 2-3 months because I dont really play that much. The recent change has made leveling and gearing up easier for people who like me who don't play but 4-10 hours a week max, so im not complaining.

Being a Retribution Paladin, or soon to be Prot/Holydin I don't find this patch very awesome. The 5-man instance is way too easy but I like the changes they made to mounts, leveling gets easier and easier :'D

people cant take change. ever. the mount changes didn't drastically destroy your lives. not like they gave the lvl 20 access to frostmourne from a one hit kill mob(and if you compare the mount to being the step to frostmourne, then you obviously haven't played the game for real yourself have you?).

and 2-4 guilds per server? wth are you on. the only reason it was like that in vanilla was cause there were so few players. that would put maybe 100 ppl out of a 10-50 thousand person population. the army isn't that exclusive. hell the position of president isn't even that exclusive george bush got in for crying out loud.

fact is there are more then 900K players on wow. its 13million.. prolly more by now. there's reason for there to be alot more players having a go at end game. how many people play COD4 or TF2? how would you feel if you where to be told you cant go near the 2nd map your sitting on the first one because your "not good enough" the game isn't an exclusive club its something we all PAY for, at least most of us do.

there are people who bought this game for fun, stop making it a demanding lifestyle where one must sacrifice they're soul for any progression. its over,


the new instance is a nice change to the usual plunge and wipe layout, its pretty much what blizzard attempted to do with Occu (a new different kind of instance).


and that fps drop Kcuestag spoke of, its called graphics enhancement, do you really think we are gunna be playing wow in 3 years if it looks like cardboard still? doubt it, we did need the change in graphics it was a very smart move.

that lag though i saw it coming every time we release a patch we seem to get lag spikes, gone now at least. one thing blizz cant factor in on the PTR is high consumption rates on they're bandwidth. its an intolerable variable that we always get and is fixed 1-2 weeks later.

Meh. It's pretty nice too gear up alts but the new instance is really boring and way to easy... Also getting Emblems of Conquest from heroics? wtf? Tha'ts making the game way too easy..

you can't get all the gear with doing heroics, yes you can get some, but you'll still need to run ulduar etc. also the badge gear isnt the best

Yes sure, the game got more user-friendly, but why change something like mounts? Keep it the way it were, 100g for normal mount and let players know that this isn't a ****ing kids game, it's 12+, aka, alot of people in the age of 15-55 that can play 24/7, and don't come and QQ about "Well I have a 24/7 job whine whine whine", your bloody choice (Not targeted against you, to others that may or may not reply) and sorry, beeing good at a game takes time, not free epics that you've been farming enough badges for during the past months and now is available to everyone.

I personally dont like the new patch blizzard is making it to dam easy to play this game. I remember AQ 40 and AQ 20 with hunter pulls using FD while pulling. Vanilla wow ftw

yeah i played vanilla. i owned my servers auction house money was no affair, besides as far as i ever saw money was easy to make then as it is now, there where way less populated server much more room to farm gold in.


i do miss my old rank 14 priest, who had on two occasions became city protector. but i got over it. the old world really is dead, and the changing of mount levels means nothing since in 6-18 months your gonna be grinding to lvl 90, and you'll be buying some epic water mounts. gold never meant anything since we could always buy it. whats the poitn of a 100g mount anymore? you jsut have to make friends with a higher lvl and borrow less than 1 hours work for it, or hop onto storm wind wait 2 minutes for a gold spam and go buy it for 9$, it hasn't been special for a long time.


now i'm just gonna put this out there, but could vanilla wow REALLY be that great NOW? 13 million players = no chance in the world that rank 14 would be even one hundredth as elusive and glorious, if you want fame these days you have to hit way up in the top .5% of your arena bracket, or be the guild to server first the entire raids, its still a one off glory that isn't shared.


i get that in pre-bc we did put work in for that mount, but fact is the mount we need to work for now is the epic flier (albeit a month of AT daily's).


look at this game 13 million people. i don't want to sit at my PC for 24/7 getting a title that dies in another 10 years with the game, when i could be living my life playing at the park with my kid, on a date with my gf, out clubbing with some friends. wow has been casual ever since 2.0 killed the old PvP system, there's no use on fighting against it. we live in a new world where the hardcore gamers have lifes. we need the ability to play casually too. i spend the little time i have on wow raiding i don't need to waste that little time i have dragging myself from point a to point b on my alts.

EDIT: and it is a "****ing kids game" the lroe in this game is totally lacking in brutality required to make it mature, the demons commit "unspeakable acts", go read one of the real fantasy world where the demons actually do something that really is pure evil. there's no demons possessing children, no unwilling brutal godless sacrifices. just purple elves, and fluffy brown tauren hopping around throwing funny lights at each other. if you want a mature game get off wow and play something else (and ftw anyone under 25 is considered a child by laws in all first world and many 3rd world countries so its stil la majority children filled game)

I can't believe all you people that say Vanilla FTW and "We all had to work for our mounts...". It's pathetic. Maybe it was great when it was new, but it isn't now. I bet when you first started playing, you could actually find groups that did Vanilla instances and raids. I bet some of the other players were actually new, instead of someone's third alt.

Now you can spend all day looking for a group for Dire Maul or Wailing Caverns or Gnomer and never find anyone until you've out-leveled them. Or when you ask for more to join Molten Core the only response you get is "Does anyone actually do MC anymore?"

The new patch made gearing my alt little harder when ppl only are looking 5k dps for heroics ,like i can throw shit with rare gear. But anything else is +

They are just dumbing down the game even more. New paladin changes were nice for pvp though. Sacred shield is incredible.
