Im moving to Germany, need some answers.

If you go to NRW or Hessen you can use Unitymedia as Internet Provider.. They offer max. 32000er Internet (3.2mbit/s - or more if you have luck like me -> 4mbit/s)

If you go to Baden-Württemberger you can use CabelBW as Internet Provider.. They offer max. 100000er Internet (10mbit/s) but I don't know how good this Provider is.

And there is a 3rd Provider named Kabel Deutschland which offers you 32mbit/s, too.

Here is a map of the location from them.



If you have no luck, then you can only get 16000 (1.6mbit/s) max.

Thank you so much for such help, I really appreciate it. I think we are getting T-com since my neighbours all have that, and they offer 16mb which for me, it's pretty good ^^ ( Had 10mb in spain, so im fine with 16mb :P ).

They also offer us a great price with free calls to Spain, and aswell german TV through our modem, with a nice decoder, which is cool, and the decoder is free ^^.

So, thanks for your help, I think ill stay with T-com, they seem to be good ( No DC's so far at my neighbour's house in 4 days.. ) and they're cheap, made some speed test and never got below 14mb ^^.

T-Com is the main Provider in Germany i would say =) Not bad! not bad! But only 1.6mbit/s nothing for me.

Well yeah, not bad, it's GREAT for me ^^.

Btw, you know if people in germany use MegaUpload ? Im not going to use Rapidshare, prefer MegaUpload and im not sure if it's ok... Heard P2P and torrents are VERY VERY bad here but no idea about megaupload...

MEh.... it kinda sucks....

Yesterday we went to the T-com place, to sign up for 16Mbit ADSL2+ or however it's called in Germany, and because of the new house, noone ever had t-com on this house before, just Vodafone, the pple who lived here for 1 year and left before we came, so we didnt have a T-com line...

So basically a technician must come to fix some stuff to get the 16Mbit with T-com, and they will send it on 18th or 19th of August... so basically no internet at my house for 17-18 days...

They told us after the technician comes we'll have internet right the same day, I hope so... I would prefer to have Vodafone since it was instant, but the phone was thru VoIP so it sucked, and only 6Mbit ADSL .... They don't offer more...

Altho it's fine, my neighbour allows me to connect to his wireless anytiem I want till I have my own internet, but I really want my own internet to get playing on my PS3 online, since my ps3's wireless is not too good and its better to play via ethernet not wireless ^^.

So, let's hope they keep their word and come here on 18th/19th to get it done.
